Cookie Policy
Last updated: 7 September 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how GarnetDevs uses cookies, local storage, scripts and similar technologies on garnetdevs.com, what each one does, and the choices you have. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more broadly.
Cookies, local storage, scripts and web beacons
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store on your device. It lets the site remember information between page loads and between visits, such as a preference you have set or whether you have already dismissed a notice.
Local storage is a browser storage area that holds data on your device across sessions. It serves a similar purpose to a persistent cookie but is read and written through a different browser API. On this site, your consent choices are kept in local storage.
A script is a small program that runs in your browser to deliver features such as fonts, animations, forms and, where you have allowed it, analytics. Scripts can set cookies and local storage, and can request resources from other servers.
A web beacon (sometimes called a tracking pixel) is a tiny image or background request embedded in a page. When the page loads, the request tells a server that the page was viewed. Web beacons are commonly used within analytics and email tools.
Cookie categories
We group the technologies on this site into four categories:
- Necessary. Required for the website to function. These cannot be switched off because they enable core features such as remembering your consent preferences.
- Functional. Remember choices and preferences that improve your experience, such as whether you have already seen an introduction. They are not essential to the basic operation of the site.
- Analytics. Count visits and measure how the site is used so it can be improved. They are only active after you accept the analytics category.
- Marketing. Used to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant advertising on other websites. We do not currently set any marketing cookies.
Accepting, rejecting, changing and withdrawing consent
Accept. On your first visit a banner appears at the bottom of the screen. Choosing Accept all enables every category, including analytics.
Reject. Choosing Reject all keeps only the necessary category active and disables analytics. No analytics cookies are set while your choice remains rejected.
Change. You can revisit your choices at any time through the Preferences option in the consent banner, or from the link in the footer of any page. Adjust the toggles and save.
Withdraw. Withdrawing analytics consent takes effect immediately for the scripts we control, and the page reloads so the Base44 analytics module re-initialises with analytics disabled. See Notes on the Base44 platform for the one element we cannot fully switch off from app code.
